In part one, I shared with you how to use questions to make the writing process quick and easy.
Now, I am going to give you the secret sauce to put your writing in hyper drive.
Use your voice.
Your real voice.
I had a challenge to write 2000 words a day for 30 days. It was not easy. I was up against some major writer’s block. Then, I had someone ask me to relate a story to them that I was going to include in the book. I recorded my answer. In less than 5 minutes I had 600 words written using the voice-capturing software on my phone.
600 words!!!! Five minutes!!!
Because I had my list of questions, it was easy to answer aloud. All I had to do was push record and I was writing faster than ever.
Questions plus recording made me reach my 60,000 word goal so much easier.
Instead of spending two to three hours a day writing, I was now spending about 15 minutes. And, for me, it was better because I wanted this book to be a conversation between me and the reader. By capturing my voice answers, the writing was infused with my personality and cadence.
If you have a book to write and a limited amount of time, this dynamic duo is the answer for you.
It is my secret sauce combo.
You are welcome!
